Call for Papers – MTC26 & MTF26, Malta
May 21, 2026
MTC26, the Mediterranean Tourism Knowledge Exchange and Policy Conference, takes place in Malta from 24–27 November 2026 as part of MTF26, the 11th Mediterranean Tourism Forum, organised by the Mediterranean Tourism Foundation.
MTC26 brings together researchers and policymakers to exchange news, views, and findings, with the aim of empowering Mediterranean tourism through evidence-based practice. New this year are a Mediterranean Tourism Research Writing Retreat and a Mediterranean Tourism Future Talent Competition and Hackathon. The conference emphasises regenerative tourism — actively revitalising both environments and local communities — and the co-creation of mutually beneficial relationships between tourists, communities, and the places they visit.
Last year’s forum drew over 2,500 delegates from 32 countries. All participants of the Research Writing Retreat and the Knowledge Exchange and Policy Conference are invited to join the Mediterranean Tourism Forum international conference on 27 November 2026.
