The 7th Marrakech International Conference on Tourism Research (MICTR 2026) takes place in Marrakech, Morocco, from 10 to 13 November 2026, with conference presentations scheduled for 11 and 12 November. The abstract submission deadline is 30 June 2026. This year’s conference theme is “The AI Turn in Tourism: Narrative Shift or Real Transformation?”
Despite this edition’s focus on artificial intelligence, MICTR 2026 remains an interdisciplinary conference and explicitly welcomes submissions on a broad range of tourism research topics. Papers addressing destinations, hospitality, cultural heritage, governance, marketing, tourist experiences, and territorial development are all invited, even where they do not directly engage the AI theme.
Submissions may be written in English, French, or Arabic. Abstracts should be sent directly by email to mictr.conference@gmail.com by 30 June 2026.
