GLOTECH 2026: Global Conference on Technology and AI in Hospitality and Tourism

Submissions are invited to GLOTECH 2026 — the Global Conference on Technology and AI in Hospitality and Tourism, taking place September 18–21, 2026, in a hybrid format at San Diego State University, San Diego, California, and online.

GLOTECH is a peer-reviewed academic conference bringing together scholars, industry leaders, and innovators to explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies on hospitality and tourism. The conference features research presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, with distinguished keynote speakers and panelists confirmed for this year's edition.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, AI applications in hospitality and tourism, smart tourism and digital transformation, big data analytics and decision-making, robotics and automation in service industries, virtual and augmented reality in tourism experiences, blockchain and cybersecurity in hospitality, sustainable and ethical AI practices, consumer behavior in the era of AI-driven tourism, and the future of work with AI and human collaboration in hospitality. The Scientific and Paper Review Committee comprises over 60 scholars from more than 60 universities across 28 countries, ensuring rigorous, globally informed peer review of all submissions.

Selected papers from GLOTECH 2026 will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology (SSCI, IF 6.9). Key dates: abstract/paper submission deadline 1 June 2026, notification of acceptance on a rolling basis, early registration deadline 31 July 2026, and conference dates 18–21 September 2026. The conference is organized by Virscend University (Irvine, California) and the Association of Global Educators, and is supported by JHTT and the IFITT North America Chapter.
