Faculty Positions: Hospitality & Tourism at CUHK Business School (SHTM)

The School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) at the Business School of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is inviting applications for two faculty positions in hospitality and tourism: a tenure-track Assistant Professor post starting in August 2027, and an open-rank position, tenure-track or tenured, at all ranks. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Across both posts, applicants should be promising or established scholars holding a PhD, by the time of reporting for duty, in hospitality and tourism or a related field. Appointees are expected to conduct high-quality research leading to publications in top-tier hospitality and tourism journals, to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to contribute service to the School. The Assistant Professor post particularly welcomes scholars specialising in AI and machine learning, behavioural science, healthcare and aging, sports and entertainment, and related areas, with industry or grant experience preferred. The open-rank post welcomes scholars across hospitality and tourism management and related fields, and for the Associate or Full Professor rank looks for industry experience, programme development or executive-education expertise, a track record in grants, contracts, or consultancy, and demonstrated academic leadership.
