Call for Papers: APacCHRIE 2027 | Macao, 25–28 May 2027

The Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management at the University of Macau invites submissions to the APacCHRIE 2027 Conference, to be held in Macao SAR, China, from 25 to 28 May 2027. Abstracts and full papers are welcome under the conference theme, "Tourism+ Making an Impact for Now and Tomorrow", across both a main conference and a dedicated youth conference.
The "Tourism+" framing invites contributions that connect tourism and hospitality to the wider forces reshaping them, from artificial intelligence and sustainability to community equity, workforce futures, and the design of guest experience. The call is deliberately broad, spanning conceptual and empirical work across roughly twenty thematic areas, and it explicitly welcomes submissions beyond the listed topics where they speak to the conference theme.

Tracks, submission, and key dates
APacCHRIE 2027 runs two parallel tracks: a main conference and a youth conference, each with its own submission templates and its own EasyChair portal. Both share the same timeline for submission and final versions.
Key dates and tracks
All deadlines are given in Macao time (UTC+8:00). Main and youth conferences use separate templates and portals.
- 1 Feb 2027 Abstract or full paper submission Deadline for the initial submission of abstracts and/or full papers to either track.
- 19 Mar 2027 Final version submission Deadline for the final, revised version of accepted contributions.
- 25–28 May 2027 Conference in Macao Hosted by the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism Management, University of Macau.
